ABOUT ANACORALS
We're a couple of ocean-loving people based in Anacortes, Washington. We were both born under the sign of Aquarius (the water bearer), so perhaps it was inevitable that we'd end up obsessed with reefkeeping.
Animal care is central to how we live. We're committed to the health of every critter in our care, we support sustainable and ethical aquaculture, and we believe that two of the most important factors for a thriving tank are love and understanding.
Above all, we want humans and their reefs to have long, happy lives together.

Happy Animals, Happy People
A beautiful reef starts with critters that are comforable with tank life. We prioritize aquacultured and ethically sourced fish and corals, not just because they're more resilient, better adapted, and easier to keep but also because it's the right thing to do. Much of the livestock we have available was grown out right here in our own tanks.
Constant Learning & Listening
We have plenty of tips to share about what's worked for us and our tanks, but we know that every ecosystem is different! We believe that learning to read your tank and feel when something's off is the most important skill a reefkeeper can have. Our dream is for all aquarists to love and understand their tanks, and for all humans to love and understand the ocean.
Human Relationships
We love hearing about your tanks! We celebrate your victories and mourn your losses alongside our own. We'll treat your tank like it's ours, and we truly care about both you and your little box of ocean.
